 Synopsis:

Qua’s Poetry: was created from a personal encounter with a famous East LA Hispanic Poet named Manezar Gamboa, who had spent more than eighteen years behind bars. Through his own life experiences, he concluded that everyday life, if carefully observed, can be a potential poem. Since I also worked with incarcerated youth, my students and I found his life experiences and personal testimony insightfully priceless.
