SUNBURST, A Generational Anthology of Education, Marriage, Love, Integrity, and Family. Her memoir of more than seven decades consists of stories highlighting significant people, places, and events throughout the author’s journey from the small rural town of Eatonton, Georgia. This town may be small, but it produced some big names of successful people who have helped put Eatonton on the map, such as the American novelist Alice Walker, author of “Color Purple,” winner of the 1983 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction, and the National Book Award for Fiction. Also thriving from Eatonton, Cathy Truett, Founder of Chick-fil-A, and many others. Lowe came to Los Angeles, California, in the early 60s, looking for better educational and economic opportunities. And she pursued her lifelong dream of becoming a registered nurse and dedicated twenty-seven years to nursing. Sunburst guides us through the history, sacrifices, and success stories to help the current generation, those coming, and families and institutions wanting to leave a rich legacy. The author shares many experiences on love, marriage, integrity, challenging lessons, and life experiences.

About the Author

Frances Gorley Lowe is a retired registered nurse, who spent more than twenty-seven years in the nursing field. She is an active member in her church, and she is a dedicated member of Beta Pi Sigma Sorority. Ms. Lowe is also the author of Hearing the Voice of God that was published in 2022 as well.. She is the mother of two adult children, Gregory and Melody, grandmother to six, and great-grandmother to two. Mrs. Lowe resides in Southern Californian.
