About the Author

Rev. Carolyn A. Cooks is the former senior pastor of Sunnyside Baptist Church in Los Angeles, California. She is the first female pastor of an American Baptist Church of the Pacific Southwest. Although she is retired from Pastorate, she continues being actively involved in Ministry, preaching, and ministering at various church and special events. At her home church, she serves as a Prayer Ministry member, teaches weekly Bible Study, and is the Director of Christian Education. Pastor Cooks has a Bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies and graduated Magna-Cum-Laude, and a Master’s degree from M.T.I. Bible College. She resides in Southern California. She lives in Southern California.
